  • Job Summary:

    The Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing the coordination of daily UC and staff travel needs. Required to maintain a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and subject to work extended hours, weekend and be on-call.

    Essential Functions:

    • Direct supervision/oversight of Emergency Shelter Escort HUB in alignment with Project Coordinator or designee
    • Direct oversight of all contract travel coordination of unaccompanied minors from the assigned place of performance via ground or air methods of transportation (charter or commercial carrier) with logistical coordinators and contracts assigned to the project
    • Work collaborative with other emergency shelter departments in creating a Joint Effort of Services
    • Generate flight/transportation manifests and any reports as required by the contract such as daily discharge reports and ICS 209.
    • Direct oversight of the coordination in the transferring or reunification process between Emergency Shelter and ORR and other subcontractors.
    • Have the ability to book flights, and complete itineraries, routing, and associated bookings (e.g., hotel, rental car) for both the Transport Specialist (TS) and escorted unaccompanied Minor.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Master in Business or equivalent degree in a field related to human services or similar occupational area.
    • Clean criminal background check.
    • Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check.
    • Five or more years of supervisory experience
    • Strong administrative skills or knowledge in area of accounting and personnel management
    • Able to establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders such ORR, state and local entities
    • Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Report

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs required to complete daily tasks. Job requires extended periods of sitting. Use of various pieces of office equipment.

    Work Environment:

    Ability to work a flexible work schedule is required dependent upon the department, facility or program in which s/he works and job duties assigned. Work schedules are subject to variation from time to time depending on the needs of the department, facility or program. The work is performed in a shelter setting which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and until completion of the contract.
