The Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (PCAN) Services Manager will provide expert guidance and consultation to Unaccompanied Minor (UM) Program Operations. As such, the PCAN Services Manager must be well versed with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Interim Final Rule (IRF): Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children (45 C.F.R. Part 411) in order to prevent and respond to sexual abuse and harassment involving Unaccompanied Children (UC). This position works with UM Programs to ensure policies and best practices for the prevention of child abuse, harassment, and neglect are followed. Furthermore, this position collaborates with program-level Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Managers to actively promote a culture of safety, proactive risk management, clinical excellence, ongoing regulatory visit readiness, and lead continuous process improvement activities.
Preferred:
Must be able to drive and travel, as needed. Other requirements include daily use of various office equipment, frequent typing, and writing, as well as bending, twisting, stooping, climbing upstairs, and lifting up to 15 lbs. items that may be required to complete tasks. Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.
The work environment for this position is a combination of field and office setting requiring flexibility. The position involves engagement with team members, stakeholders, and programs. May also include engaging directly with youth. A fast-paced and dynamic environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent travel may be required to reach various locations within our service locations. Frequent computer use at workstations for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
