Job Summary:

 

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for executing comprehensive social media strategies aimed at enhancing engagement, fortifying our online brand presence, and driving traffic to our digital platforms. This role demands a profound understanding of social media trends, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to analyze performance metrics for content optimization. The Social Media Specialist must possess strong skills in graphic design, original content creation, and social media management.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Graphic Design: Design social media, website, email campaign, and marketing graphics that follow RMTAC’s brand guidelines.
  • Content Creation: Produce engaging content such as advertisements, blog pages, videos, infographics, and social media posts.
  • Copywriting: Craft compelling copy for digital and print marketing materials, that include, but not limited to website, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with RMTAC’s learning and development team to generate and implement content strategies that align with program objectives.
  • Search Engine Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to improve and drive traffic to learning content.
  • Analytics: Review and analyze content and social media performance metrics to learn and build user interactions and adjust strategies to maximize digital performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with RMTAC team members to ensure clear and targeted social media outreach.

Other Functions:

  • Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information of policy changes or practices are adhered to.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, communications, or a related technical field, such as graphic design, with a minimum of three years of experience.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, content creation, copywriting, and social media management.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe, Canva, Storyboards, etc.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and proper grammar.
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively stay up to date on trends, and best practices.
  • Cleared background check from appropriate entity.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.

Physical Demands:

Bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. required to complete daily tasks. Job requires extended periods of sitting; use of various office equipment.

Work Environment:

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer uses at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
