Job Summary:

The Curriculum Facilitator is responsible for assisting the school principals in the oversight of the curriculum, instruction and assessment program on both campuses.

Essential Functions:

  • Encourage and support development of innovative student support programs, helping teachers pilot such efforts when appropriate.
  • Work with teachers and staff in the implementation of the curriculum.
  • Provide ESL supplemental support to English learners at the Elementary School
  • Participate in development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members.
  • Requisition supplies, textbooks, and equipment; check inventory; maintain records; and verify receipts for materials.
  • Assist the principal to develop, maintain, and use information systems in order to record and track progress on campus student support objectives.
  • Supervise school operations in the Principal’s absence.
  • Assist with maintenance of a building environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Assist in supervision of students to ensure the safety of all.
  • Coordinate the state assessment program at the Secondary School.
  • Coordinate the LPAC process charter-wide.
  • Coordinate the 504 program at the Secondary School.
  • Conduct classroom walkthrough observations.
  • Disaggregate student achievement data to guide intervention activities.

Other Functions:

  • Participate in professional development to improve skills related to job assignment.
  • Assist the principal in defining the school’s mission and communicating goals and expectations of the total school program.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Three (3) years of successful teaching experience in a Texas public, private or charter school.
  • Skill in effectively communicating, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well with students.
  • Texas Teacher Certification
  • Bilingual/ESL Supplemental Certification



  • Master’s degree
  • Certified T-TESS (Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System) Appraiser
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Valid Texas Mid-management or Principal Certification

Physical Demands:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station , reach with hands and arms and utilize other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
