Job Summary:

The Crisis Stabilization Worker is responsible for providing services to Wraparound enrolled youth who, due to their emotional and/or mental health needs are at risk of imminent placement in a psychiatric hospital, residential care center or other institutional placement. The Crisis Stabilization Worker is subject to be on call 24 hours a day on working days in order to provide crisis intervention.

Essential Functions:


  • Insure adherence of the youth and caregiver to teh Crisis/Safety Plan, including helping the family recognize high risk behaviors, modeling and teaching effective interventions to deescalate the crisis.
  • Identify and assist the youth with accessing community resources that will aide in the crisis intervention and/or stabilization.
  • Empower and guide family to access support services.
  • Provide case management, including discharge information, for assigned youth in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Examine case file to become familiar with youth history and keep up to date with information as it is added to the file.
  • Notify Program Director or designee immediately in the event of a youth crisis, suspected illegal activity or any other youth or program incident.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.


  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Other Functions:

  • High school diploma or GED
