  • Job Summary:

    The Information Technology (IT) Specialist serves as a Salesforce Administrator and Trainer and provides technical strategy and direction to ensure the Salesforce application is effectively implemented and managed.  The IT Specialist offers best practices and recommendations for process integration, application development, deployment and ongoing enhancements.  In addition to supporting and fulfilling strategic objectives for a highly cross-functional team, the IT Specialist provides excellent customer service and direct support to Salesforce end users on a variety of issues.  This position may require work outside a normal eight-hour workday and include periods of significant travel.

    Essential Functions:

    • Continue development and administration of Salesforce including full life cycle software development, system configuration, data setup and ongoing maintenance
    • Implement new enhancements including the creation of custom objects, fields, record types and triggers
    • Train end-users on application utilization and functions and with other IT related equipment
    • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving SWK-TSA
    • Provide critical feedback during specification, design, test and review process
    • Deliver detailed design through data flow diagrams
    • Manage mobile application for Salesforce end-users
    • Ability to develop Salesforce specific code and visual force pages, if needed
    • Maintain technical documentation of design and operation
    • Manage Salesforce security including roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows and groups
    • Develop, deploy and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards
    • Keep management apprised of project status
    • Support end-users in a responsive and service oriented manner
    • Setup, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipment
    • Manage time and projects effectively
    • Help put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment
    • Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems
    • Develop and monitor performance levels of software and hardware
    • Develop and maintain information architectures (data, application, network) ensuring the system is on-line daily.
    • Maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operations processes
    • Create, modify and delete domain accounts in Active Directory and create email accounts and distribution groups as directed

    Other Functions:

    • Complete appropriate IT inventory
    • Create email accounts and distribution groups as directed
    • Instruct users in the use of equipment and software
    • Provide support for audio-visual equipment
    • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
    • Take ownership of assigned projects and tasks; provide excellent customer service in a responsive, respectful manner

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related degree
    • 3+ years’ experience administering, configuring and developing Salesforce applications
    • 3+ years in IT or Business Systems
    • Clear criminal background check
    • Clear Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check
    • Experience supporting network printing and corporate email
    • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
    • Must be able to work independently in accordance with established guidelines
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.


    • Salesforce certification
    • Experience supporting Office 365

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

    Work Environment:

    General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
