The Home Study and Post Release Worker (HSPRW) is responsible for conducting home studies of prospective sponsors and providing post release services to youth who have been released from ORR’s custody to a sponsor in the United States. The HSPRW will carry a combined caseload of home study and post release cases. For home studies, the HSPRW assesses the sponsor family unit, evaluates the prospective sponsor’s ability to provide a safe living environment that meets the child’s needs, and educates and prepares the prospective sponsor for reunification with the child. Post release services are a collaborative process in which the HSPRW assists the youth and sponsor identify areas where additional support and resources or information are needed to ensure successful reunification and provides assistance with accessing needed supports and services. The HSPRW maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work overtime and be on-call.

  The Case Aide is directly assigned to the home study and post release program and is responsible for assisting in the day to day tasks to ensure that services are provided to youth in a timely manner. The Case Aides are required to maintain a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours, weekends, and be on-call.

The Post Release Worker III provides clinical case management, promotes the safety and well-being of children and coordinates supportive services in the community where the child resides. Post Release Worker III reports to the Lead Post Release Worker or designee. The Post Release Worker III maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours, weekends and be on-call.

  The Regional Lead Home Study Worker supports the Assistant Program Director of Home Study in the day to day operation of the home study department including assigning of caseloads, review of home study reports and internal audits of department staff. The Regional Lead Home Study Worker also may maintain a home study caseload. All duties are performed based on administrative training and direct supervision of the Assistant Program Director or Program Director. The Regional Lead Home Study Worker maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work overtime and be on-call.

  The Post Release Worker III is responsible for providing Level 1, 2, & 3 post release services to youth who have been released from ORR’s custody to a sponsor in the United States.
